Role Overview:

  • Carry out routine Quality Control (QC) testing under supervision, including microbiological and analytical assays, in line with approved methods, SOPs, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
  • Prepare samples, perform testing, and accurately record and review results, ensuring data is complete, compliant, and suitable for reporting.
  • Enter, check, and maintain QC data, promptly flagging any deviations, inconsistencies, or out-of-specification results.

Requirements:

  • Educated to BSc level or above in relevant life sciences or biotechnology-related discipline
  • Practical laboratory experience gained through academic studies, placements, or employment, including microbiological and analytical techniques
  • Experience working in line with health and safety requirements and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Competence in using standard laboratory equipment, with a willingness to develop skills on more advanced analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to record and maintain accurate laboratory data.

Role Overview:

  • Responsibilities include, clean-in-place (CIP), Sterilisation-in-place (SIP) and operation of sterilisation equipment and bioreactors.
  • Prepare growth media to standard recipes, seed bioreactors with inoculum, perform routine sampling of product
  • Conform to quality control measures, maintain records and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • HND level education (or equivalent practical experience) in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial production or manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience with production processes such as fermentation, CIP, SIP, pasteurisation, filtration, centrifugation, or similar operations.
  • Experience working safely under Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a regulated production environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with ability to understand basic scientific and engineering problems.
